HELP: Solid Lifters!!!

Hi all, me again!!!

Wonder if anyone can help me again, I'm looking for a set of cvh solid cam followers for my xr3i project, I have swapped the original head for an RS head and need a set of solid lifters as I am fitting a race cam and vernier pulley!

I have the code of, CV202K, I've looked at burton power and are just far too out of my price range at the moment, does anyone know where I can get them much cheaper?

Or better yet, can i get away with the original ones from the RS head??

Its that last thing i really need before I can rebuild the engine!!!

solid lifters were OE on the rs16i and companys like newman are doing them for these engines, I would try matt lewis motorsport first

Awesome, thanks. I've heard i can get away without solid lifters, and just buy new std hydraulic ones, is this true? Or will I end up on the side of the road not going anywhere fast???

I forgot to mention the cam is a kent cam cvh28 and I'm running twin webbers on it too and once the whole lot is fitted thinking of remapping the ecu!!

I would only fit solid lifters with matching cam tbh as the car would need setting up etc as its NOT plug and play, main reason lifters fail is poor oil circulation due to not breathing right etc , just give it a oil change and filters and drop some new hydraulic ones in, matt lewis motorsoport does them for a £45 for a full set and that should be that

Wicked, thanks for that, oh l realise its not plug and play so luckily i have a mate who can set the lot up for me anyway so it wont be used until he says its ok to. Im just fitting everything then he will do the rest!!! Would be bloody hand if it was plug and play!!!!!
