Default Read before buying/selling

As with any internet purchases it is ALWAYS a case of 'buyer beware'. Forums are rich pickings for thieves who prey on the anonymity of the Internet.

Neither Fast Ford Magazine, nor Future Publishing can take any responsibility for any transaction which results in the buyer or seller being defrauded out of product, or money, and we advise you take the following steps.

• If you are paying by Paypal NEVER send it as a 'gift'. It automatically prevents you having any comeback should the transaction be fraudulent.

• If it sounds too good to be true, or you have any reservations then walk away from the transaction - don't get caught out by your own greed.

• Ensure you have several methods of contact before completing the transaction, and don't be afraid to ask for proof of address (photograph of utilities bill, copy of driving license etc) if the value of the goods are high. If the seller is genuine they will have no problems with this.

• It pays to leave a paper trail, so back up any phonecalls with emails to confirm what you have discussed, just in case it turns legal.

• By entering your advert onto the forum you agree to us potentially using the advert in Fast Ford magazine, within the classified section.

50posts might mean peeps spamming the site until they egg their quota. 20 posts until the forum is up and running or perhaps simply locking posting priveliges to that section until you get a working system in place. Making it a sticky at the top of the page would also help

It's not really our jurisdiction to police the classifieds, in the same way we don't personally vet the people who write into the mag.

Basically we want everyone to employ common sense, and take the same precautions that they would if they were buying from ANY other private individual.

We can't be held accountable, if someone parts with money before taking reasonable steps to ensure the transaction is safe.

If we start to have problems, we'll just close this room!

I would like to reassure people that i am a genuine seller and that i am using this site as i belive that the magazine no longer has a classified section in it, I am a petrol head and a a lover of Fords. I want to advertise the car on here as I know its being viewed by people with the same passion for the Blue Oval badge and that i do not want to sell my pride and joy to any old person. Anyone who maybe interested, please feel free to email me or look meup on the st-oc/mondeostoc pages on facebook or on my actual page. (christian spencer knowles).

Thank you.
