After our grumbles about the seats in the Fiesta over the last couple of months, we’ve found a solution, and a very good solution at that! While on the RS Dyno Shootout mentioned to the Mountune guys that the standard benches were arse-numbing over long journeys.

“Ah, we may be able to help with that,” came the reply. Apparently the awesome Recaro CS seats that were in the press/demo ST185 were sitting in a storeroom gathering dust, and they’d obviously be better utilised actually in a car! I sat in the very same seats when we were loaned the press car and can testify as to how good they are.

We’ve got to pop down to the Mountune HQ to get them fitted. They are proper high-end seats, costing nearly a grand each new, but they really are awesome.

With that sorted the next obvious step would be brakes, as ours are showing signs of needing replacing. We discussed bigger brakes, but with the kind of driving we do in it the stock brakes are actually pretty damn good. We’ll be checking out how much meat is left on the pads, and if they need replacing we’ll be straight onto fordpartsplus.net to order a new set.

Thanks
